SCENE for Easy One-Touch Operation
Four SCENE buttons make operating the receiver easier than ever. They are initially set to default settings for BD/DVD Movie Viewing, TV Viewing, CD Listening and Radio Listening. Pressing a SCENE button turns on the power, selects the input source and assigns the optimum DSP mode for that source.

Compressed Music Enhancer
When music is encoded in a digital compressed format such as MP3, frequency response suffers in the high and low ranges. Yamaha employs sophisticated digital signal processing with exclusive algorithms, enabling faithful reproduction of the original music for excellent sound quality.

HD Audio with CINEMA DSP
The receiver decodes HD audio formats, which can be enjoyed together with Yamaha’s original CINEMA DSP surround sound programs for natural and expansive sound imaging.

OSD with Colour Icons
The YHT-1840 features Yamaha’s latest on-screen display, which provides colour icons for quick identification. Menus can be viewed in English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Japanese or Chinese. In addition, menus can be overlaid over the image.
